Our Security Solutions team plays a pivotal role in safeguarding our organisation, and we’re looking for a dynamic Cyber Lead Solutions Designer to help shape the future of our security architecture.

You’ll be part of a high-performing Cyber Solutions team, working across multiple domains and projects to create robust, secure and resilient solution designs. What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the design of resilient and scalable security solutions that span infrastructure, operational systems and application layers—ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and cyber strategy.
  • Collaborate with our Cyber Lead Solution Architects, Enterprise Architecture and other designers to align solutions to our Cyber Security Strategy.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of design documentation, from creation to approval, through technical design authority and governance forums.
  • Drive reuse and enhancement of platforms and assets, ensuring designs meet project commitments.
  • Create design patterns to enable adoption of our security solutions across the bank and drive best practice.
  • Provide consultancy and assurance to the wider design community, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Assess and make design decision across in-house and third-party applications, services and infrastructure.
  • Present solutions to senior stakeholders across the wider Technology Operations & Cyber Security teams and other CIO areas.

We need you to have

  • Proven experience in designing solutions across multiple technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles, frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading solution design delivery, supporting operational implementation and managing priorities across multiple projects.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Experience of delivering cyber solutions in financial organisation.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and modern identity-centric security architectures.
  • Knowledge of Azure and or AWS Cyber Security Architecture.
  • Hold relevant Cyber Security Certifications such as CISSP, CISM

If the role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, it requires enhanced pre-employment checks – we'll ask for six years of regulatory references, and once in the role, you'll be subject to periodic employment checks.
