We’re launching two exciting Skills Development Programmes this year within our Chief Operating Office, each designed to unlock your potential and set you on the path to a thriving technology career. These 18-month journeys blend interactive learning with invaluable hands-on experience. You’ll start with a 12-week intensive academy, immersing yourself in specialist tech areas, then transition into real-world projects that challenge and inspire.

Our Technology Development Programme offers an exciting pathway to a rewarding career in tech. You’ll work on innovative solutions that create brilliant digital experiences for our customers, enhancing and complementing our trusted high street presence.
By the end of the programme, you’ll have developed the skills, experience, and confidence to take on a more senior role and make a real impact in shaping the future of our technology for our customers and colleagues.

Change Programme
Join our Change Development Programme and gain the skills, confidence and experience to build an exciting career as a Project Manager or Business Analyst. Through hands-on learning and expert support, you’ll deliver meaningful change that makes a real difference for our customers and colleagues.
Along the way, you’ll work on projects that matter, build strong relationships across Virgin Money, and set yourself up for long-term success in a role where no two days are the same.
What to expect
1. Apply Online: Submit your application, showcasing your passion for a career in technology.
2. Online Assessment: Demonstrate your critical thinking and numerical skills through our online tests.
3. Assessment Day: Join us onsite for group activities and a formal interview, giving you the chance to shine.
4. Academy Experience: If successful, you’ll embark on a 12-week immersive Academy to build your tech foundations.
5. Team Placement: We’ll carefully match you with a team for 15 months of hands-on, real-world development work.
6. Permanent Role: After 18 months on the programme, you’ll transition into a permanent position with us to continue your career journey.
