Our Team

Web Development (Secure Sites) is responsible for the modernisation and digitisation of customer and staff experiences using a wide range of Web technologies. Our systems are designed to be accessible, efficient & engaging across several platforms: Desktop, Mobile & Tablet.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assess & estimate new work requests covering multiple systems and sub-systems.
  • Build & enhance features within new & existing projects, complete with unit & automation tests achieving effective code coverage.
  • Create & control contributions to semantically versioned common code libraries.
  • Deploy applications using continuous integration & deployment systems including the configuration & administration of these systems.
  • Educate & coach more junior members of the team during pair programming, code reviews and within structured teaching sessions.
  • Fix bugs & identity source, documenting both causes & solutions, to reduce reoccurrence and enhance colleague awareness.
  • Generate & implement new development approaches & architectural innovations.
  • Help with production releases & incident responses across areas, occasionally out of hours.
  • Improve, optimise & modernise our tech stack, leveraging your previous experience to reduce tech debt & promote positive patterns!

We need you to have

  • An extensive and successful proven track record in a Senior Developer role with SME experience programming large scale applications using Typescript.
  • SME development experience of single page Web applications frameworks (e.g. React or alternatives: Angular, Vue, Svelte, SolidJS).
  • Demonstrable experience of developing unit, integration & automation tests using JS Web test frameworks (e.g. Vitest/Jest, Playwright/Cypress).
  • In depth experience of communicating with Microservice REST APIs and a deep understanding of Networking/HTTP protocols.
  • Protecting against potential security vulnerabilities and familiarity with best practice (e.g. OWASP).
  • Extensive experience educating & enforcing best practice software development principles, e.g. DRY, KISS, SOLID.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Cloud based development & hosting, e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, Serverless Computing.
  • Developer tools programming using efficient frameworks & languages, e.g. Bun, Deno, Rust.
  • Financial Industry regulations, structures & services.
